poetic science

there is poetry in science,
lucid dreams in reality,
life in death,
creation in destruction
we only have to decide
which one our eyes will see

opening doors

through the light
of a shadowed window
lies the door to my soul
the darkening rays
mixing with light
are not something to fight
are not something to endure
they are something to marvel at
to revel in
to explore

questions answered

You ask me where my strength is?

You wonder why this is not crushing my world?

I walk the line of death. I listen to the sweet nothings It brushes against my ear and I shelter them within until their wisdom can be explored.

You ask me where my resolve is?

You wonder if I am breaking?

Have I not told you of my childhood? Have you not heard of the scars that have crossed over my flesh moments after I was first pushed forth into this world? Have you not heard of the various acrobatics I have performed in order to live this long?

This is nothing for a creature who listens to death words.

This is nothing for a creature who plays with the darkest of shadows and calls them to her by name.

This is nothing for a creature like me.

F.U.C.K. origins

"In ancient England a person could not have sex unless you had consent of the King (unless you were in the Royal Family!). When anyone wanted to have a baby, they got consent of the King, the King gave them a placard that they hung on their door while they were having sex. The placard had F.U.C.K. ("Fornication Under Consent of the King") on it. Now you know where that came from."

"It was the accepted practice in Babylon 4,000 years ago that for a month after the wedding, the bride's father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead he could drink. Mead is a honey beer and because their calendar was lunar based, this period was called the honey month or what we know today as the honeymoon."

Oh wow! I always wondered where the word fuck originated and now I know and can amaze all my friends with my useless trivia! cuz really f u c k? What a strange word that is!
And now all I can wonder is: who was the first person who originated the slang use of the word??? I must be able to find that somewhere on the internet, but I have to admit I’m a bit worried about the search results I’ll get for: original slang usage of fuck. That’s just asking for some weird ass shit that is no doubt going to get me into trouble due to my unerring curiosity.
So, alright, I guess I’ll just have to live with the fact that I won’t know the answer to that question … maybe my husband knows? He’s an encyclopedia of random facts and figures! And I have no doubt that he knew all of these that are listed and could spout out a few more if asked. Almost makes you wonder what would happen to the world if everyone abstained completely from alcohol and drugs. Would the world be a better place? Would the vast retention of knowledge allow us all to move to a higher and grander purpose? Aah! But alas, there would be no meade, and then there would be no honeymoon, and then there would no fucking. … Well shit, what’s the fun in that???

elemental points

The fifth point on a compass cannot be seen by the eye alone. It is the point in which one can feel the earth spinning on its axis, where the scene changes within the blink of your eye, changing into a landscape where one cannot be found by those who do not seek to know the truth.

This is the point where hearts are known to tread, where minds are left to follow and the spirit is left unburdened by the time held before it.

This is the point where I have seen the ides of warning become the salvation of desire and the sorrows of youth become the steel beneath the whole being.

This is the point where I am home.

****

The fifth element cannot be seen by the eye alone. It is the ephemeral plane within the whole of the being, the harbinger of sorrows, the delicacies of joy, where the mists take shape to form the patterns of the future.

This is the element where hearts are healed, where minds are cleared and the spirit is truly known.

This is the element where I have seen the greatest of chaoses reaped and the powers held within strive to concur the demons and live through the pain to tell the story another day.

This is the element where I am home.
